Finally Feeling Like Summer

Writer: Jason Christian Jason Christian

The snow line is receding and its finally feeling like summer around the Owens Valley. The last several weeks have provided some good fishing opportunities if you knew where to be. With warmer days we have seen an increase in activity, from the trout and the midge hatch that Crowley Lake is known for.

With more warm weather in the forecast streams will continue to be flowing higher than normal. That being said it will be mainly a lake game in the coming weeks. The Mammoth Lakes basin is still frozen and is not projected to open until mid June. Currently the June Lake loop is open along with Convict Lake, Lundy Lake, Bridgeport Reservoir, Virginia Lakes has some open water and of course Crowley Lake which is producing the best fishing available right now. Stay up to date on our current fishing activity through instagram, facebook or weekly fishing reports.

The season is just kicking off and I have plenty of open dates. Please don't hesitate to get on the calendar , it's going to be a great season.

As always I like to let the photos do the talking.

I look forward to seeing you all this summer.

Jason Christian.
